There are three things right away God the Father wants you to know. He wants you to know His name, His Son's name, and His times and seasons.
#1 God the Father's name is Yehovah. (Yeh-Ho-Vah). In time you will learn His name was hidden and that was not good. There is a power in His name. Learn it and speak it. You will also see His name written YHVH.
#2 Yahoveh wants you to know His only begotten Sons name. It is Yeshua. (Yah-shua) (Ye-shua). He is commonly known as Jesus. There is no “J” sound in Hebrew. Yeshua is a Hebrew. When His disciples called out His name it sounded like YESHUA to Him. Call Him by his name.
#3 His times and seasons. There is much to learn here and will take time and community. You will learn a deepness and richness of salvation in and while observing His designated times and seasons. To get to that deepness and richness you must first digest the “pure milk of the word”. That is the purpose of this book.
His times and seasons are the following:
- Weekly there is a Sabbath, a day of rest. Sabbath begins with Shabbat on Friday, 6:00 pm or dusk, and continues until Saturday, 6:00 pm or dusk.
- Monthly there is a new moon: Rosh Chodesh.
- The Spring Convocations and Feasts: Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread and Shavuot.
- The Fall Convocations and Feasts: Day of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles.
- Feast of Dedication—Chanukah
Becoming A Disciple
Making the decision to become a disciple of Yeshua is the best decision an individual can make and it shouldn’t be done lightly. It should be given serious consideration. Here is a quick survey of what Yeshua and His Apostles said concerning and regarding being a disciple.
Regardless of what the future holds the mandate to the church is to be about making disciples.
But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. II Corinthians 11:3 NASB 1995
And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:3
But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness…
Matt. 6:33
His Kingdom is spiritual and is not of this world. Entering and pressing into the Spiritual Kingdom of God (Yahoveh) is predicated upon two things: believing and forgiveness. Spiritual Obedience is simply believing what the Holy Spirit reveals. There is Natural Obedience but it is always subsequent to Spiritual Obedience. Natural Obedience does not produce Righteousness, Purity, or Holiness. Spiritual Obedience does. Natural Obedience does make manifest what is right, lovely, and true bringing about respect, virtue, and order. In that regard, it is our righteousness but this is not His Righteousness. Our righteousness is not to be flaunted. His Righteousness is to be sought. Spiritual Obedience produces substance of Faith resulting in Hope. The Substance of our Faith is the construct of what we believe and all we believe. We are stewards of our faith and it is to be developed, maintained, and kept. Our faith comes to us strictly and solely by Grace. Grace is the Divine Influence upon our heart; mind, will, emotion, conscience, sub-conscience, and the evidence in our life.
MEET HIM AS SAVIOR
The First Revelation resulting in “being born from above” comes through the foolishness of preaching. Faith comes by hearing. When the Gospel is proclaimed and a hearer comes under the conviction of sin resulting in confessional belief forgiveness is to be received. This reception is generally conjoined with Joy, Peace and Love. All fruit of the Spirit. Marvel not, you must be born again; born from above. What a glorious day when we meet Him as Savior. A confession of Faith has been made but will a profession of faith be pursued. Will a solicitation and a path be presented?
SEEK HIM AS LORD
Making the decision to following and seek Him as Lord and His Righteousness. Of becoming a disciple; to be immersed (baptized) in the truth. This comes by virtue of drawing near, remaining, staying and abiding. Resulting in revelation and spiritual growth by believing/receiving Truth. Seeking Him as Lord is not service nor is it a decision to be made lightly.
Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. The one who loves his life loses it, and the one who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. John 12:24-26
Note again it is about following and not service. Service is a slipper slope for the new born. It can and does quickly become means of doing works for the sake of righteousness in the natural. That is dead works. Service does come into the picture. “IF” anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. A disciple is to first follow and seek His Righteousness. His Righteousness is revealed to us spiritually. As we become obedient in believing what is reveal pertaining to His Righteousness we grow in spiritual stature. As we grow in stature the capacity for service is also being developed. Think of the stature and maturity of an Ambassador. One does not become an Ambassador overnight.As Lord and master He says daily take up your cross and FOLLOW me,(not Serve me). Where do you think your going with that cross, DisneyLand? The is much to learn and quite frankly die to in following and seek Him and His righteousness. Being able to articulate His Righteousness is Solid meat and for the mature. Wherein you will Find Him as Friend and perhaps be called to Serve Him as King. One must first digest the milk:the elementary principles. IF anyone serves Him, let them follow Him. If anyone is thirsty, let them come to Him and drink and from their innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. If anyone is burden or heavy laden let them come to Him and He will give them rest. The blessed Savior of the World, the Lord and Master of all, the kindest friend to all and the exalted King of all Kings is bellowing to all of humanity COME TO ME!
Natural obedience does not produce living water, natural obedience does not lift burden and give rest. Only Spiritual obedience can doe these things and there are volumes He will reveal in and to you. His heading is to fully reveal SIN,RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUDGEMENT. You are to be set-apart and set free. Let us now press on the learn the pure milk of the Word.
